Visitors arrived

I was so excited to see Auntie and Hamish yesterday, plus we went to the beach...

Auntie wondered what I would look like with long blond hair..

silly Auntie!

And they expect me to enjoy this....

Oh for a nice morning dip with a friend....

Haha....so Hamish thinks he can take over does he...

....well, not when we find a football on the beach.

"Oh what a shame Hamish, you couldn't pick it up"  

 

...and did you notice his attempt to bury it in the sand - "bad luck little tangerine terror".

Hamish came to visit over the weekend

...and we had so much fun on the beach

but not to worry

do you see in the first picture, where the stream is running down to the ocean -

from that point onward dogs can play (well, partly on a lead for a short distance)

but mostly it's 2.5 miles of glorious sand and fun.

Best enjoyed with a friend

Life can be very exhausting...

There's the checking the sand is still where it should be..

So it can be of no surprise when I decide enough if enough and take a well earned rest...

Had a lovely time....

in Cornwall - and stayed at the Whitsand Bay Hotel in Portwrinkle (ha...I thought that sounded so funny).  Look at that staircase and stained glass window, isn't it grand.

and I got some lovely walks...

and another beach to run on

and a great viewpoint on one of our walks

but by the time he got there, he opted to pick it up instead

it's a fisherman's float

Well, what can I say!!

 I think he was stuck there for a minute...

but then dad can cope with anything

we had great fun on the beach

and even had a game of tug-of-rope

....so the latest unusual object on the beach needed my attention

St. Helens beach on the Isle of Wight....

The one thing about an island, you are guaranteed at least a few good beaches...

the Isle of Wight has loads of them..

Yesterday morning on the beach....

"Oh I do love to be beside the seaside"

It was quite busy .....

We've been on holiday...

....to another beach!!

This is Bigbury-on-Sea 

in South Devon

I had a great time until the tide started to come in...

 I catch the tennis ball nearly every time...

...dad really did throw a tennis ball - it isn't invisible honestly

"Excuse me dad, can you pick the tennis ball up for me"

 

 "Aye, did you not hear me"

 Oh well, I just had to do it myself then...

although, I did get a bit distracted...must be because my shadow is now 

facing the other way!

this is the same walk as the previous photos and the sea is still behind me.

So how can that be?

this is why...

we were on that beach before the sea came in from both sides of Burgh Island

....clever aye!

We had a great time...
