Sad when you say goodbye

I haven't added posts here for so long, mainly because I have used new blogs to feature William.  I am sad to say that we lost William last week.  We in fact gained an extra two years with him, as he had been diagnosed with arthritis.  The vet, Nicki was so good helping William gain those extra years and we are so very grateful to have had him for, in fact, what turned out to be three extra Christmases.  This year will seem very strange when he isn't opening his presents....but such is life and love.

Here he is with Lil, our daughter, who bought him for us all those years ago. The photo taken just a few weeks ago.  

I intend to try and keep this blog going.  Apparently, if you leave a blog too long with nothing added, it is lost for good.  I would rather add a few posts and keep this going.

William reached the age of 14½ years, amazing for a large dog.

When Hamish pushed me over the other day, I know he didn't mean to.

So to show him all was okay, we had a run around on the hill.  And guess what, Hamish took my STICK.   Oh the things I put up with.

Could this be a bridge too far...

....or just a very wobbly one.

Don't worry though, I helped dad negotiate it....

(it only felt wobbly when you walked across it)
